Jun ’98’ – Selsport Launch
Selsport was launched by Roberto Forzoni to meet the need of the specialist goalkeeper. Selsport and the ‘S’ winged logo was born, the imposing logo remains today giving professional goalkeepers the assurance of comfort and grip when taking to the field.

Season ’99’ – Paul Robinson
England and Blackburn goalkeeper wears one of the first versions of the Selsport Wrappa. Robinson gets his chance to deputise for Nigel Martyn (another Selsport keeper) during the 98/99 season against Chelsea and keeps a clean sheet.

A specialist fleece glove enters the Selsport stable offering the goalkeeper increased warmth in cooler conditions and lessening the chance of hand sprains. The Deflector expresses the innovative and forward thinking of Selsport.

Season ’01’ – Bosnich Debut
Mark Bosnich joins Chelsea from Manchester United – wears the Deflector Fleece
and makes his debut against Leeds 21/10/2001. Makes three courageous saves against Viduka, Kewell & half volley by Rio Ferdinand resulting in a nil nil draw.

Season ’02’ – Aqua Debut
02’ saw the launch of a true performer. A wet/adverse condition glove specifically designed for extreme weather. Named the Aqua Wrappa
it first appeared with a distinctive aqua blue coloured latex. Orginals are now collectable.

Selsport endorsee Shaka Hislop wore the EuroWrap in the thrilling 3-3 FA Cup final against Liverpool and for Trinidad & Tobago in the World Cup Finals – Hislop constantly defied Sweden earning a nil – nil draw.
Season ’07’ – Red Tab
Saw the inclusion of the Selsport ‘Red Tab’ an assurance of quality developed in conjuction with the new look Tri-lock wrist strap which aided keepers fit/support to the wrist area and provided needed grip when tightening straps in awkward conditions.

Season ’09’ – Wrappa Elite
By fusing dynamics of Goalkeeping gloves with elements of Motorcycle gloves Selsport brings a new lightweight protection glove to the market which instantly proves an out right success.

The 2012/13 season proves a busy time for Selsport. A new catalogue arrives and showcases the well thought out range of Selsport gloves with the ethos of “Confidence & Belief is Everything”. New lightweight fingers spines and a new bandage called the ‘Custodian Wrist Closure System’ wins plaudits from goalkeeping circles. Selsport goalkeeper Matt Duke makes a Capital One Cup Final when Bradford faced Swansea City.

Following the outright success of the Extreme range of gloves Selsport introduce a Aqua with 4mm Aqua 7 Latex and deep backhand embossing this soon became a clear favourite for those wanting a wet weather performer.

An exciting new range comes out in July 2015 with an exciting new website which showcases the new arrives. Talk of the community is the Wrappa range which has extended to 20 gloves. Including the return of the Selsport Negative in Full & Flat variations.
